Good to know

Frequently asked.

What is steering?
Steering is when an insurance company pushes you to use one of their preferred shops instead of your own choice. By law, the choice of repair shop is yours. You do not have to use the shop your insurer suggests, and choosing Glenbard will not affect your claim. We handle everything with your insurance company directly.
Will I get an estimate before any work begins?
Yes. Every repair starts with a free, written estimate, and we will not begin work until you have reviewed and approved it. The price you approve is the price you pay, with no surprise extras.
Do you work with my insurance company?
Yes. We work directly with every major insurance carrier, handle the paperwork and any supplements for you, and make sure your claim covers the full, correct repair. In most cases you only pay your deductible.
How long will my repair take?
It depends on the extent of the damage, parts availability, and insurance approval. Minor cosmetic work can often be turned around quickly, while larger structural or paint jobs take longer. We give you a realistic timeline up front and keep you updated along the way.
Will the new paint match the rest of my car?
Yes. We use computerized color matching and an in house spray booth to blend the repair seamlessly into your existing finish. If you can see the repair, it is not finished.
What if my car is not safe to drive?
We can arrange 24 hour towing through our partner, West and Sons, and bring your vehicle straight to the shop. Just call us and we will help coordinate it.
